My Books

Does It Hurt to Die

In Does It Hurt to Die, Paul G. Anderson introduces readers to Christian de Villiers, a man on a quest to uncover the truth behind his father’s mysterious death in 1993 Cape Town. Christian’s investigation leads him to discover his father’s involvement with the notorious apartheid-era Bureau of State Security (BOSS) and a hidden folder that exposes shocking genetic research on black and colored populations. This revelation entangles Christian and his newfound half-sister Isabella in a dangerous game with national intelligence agencies and secret white supremacist groups, who will stop at nothing to keep these secrets buried.

Old Lovers Don’t Die

The sequel, Old Lovers Don’t Die, follows Christian de Villiers as he embarks on another high-stakes adventure, this time in Africa. Now a doctor himself, Christian returns to the continent where his father once worked, only to find himself caught between warring factions in the Congo. Amidst the violence, Christian reunites with his first love, Isabella, as they battle warlords, treat the wounded, and navigate dangerous political landscapes. Together, they uncover a sinister plot involving Chinese interests in Congo’s resources and a brutal conspiracy to use nerve gas, forcing them into a life-or-death rescue mission.

Let Him Die

In Let Him Die, Paul G. Anderson plunges Christian de Villiers into a tense conflict with Antonio Pellegrini, the powerful head of the Australian Mafia. After Christian refuses to accept a bribe and performs surgery on Pellegrini’s grandson, Riccardo, the boy tragically dies, and Pellegrini vows revenge. Christian and his family find themselves under siege, targeted by both the Mafia and a dangerous bikie gang, Lucifer’s Dogs. Framed for child pornography and threatened with the kidnapping of his son Isaac, Christian must navigate a dangerous web of betrayal and violence to protect his family, leading to a gripping finale where survival hangs in the balance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Surgical Tales shatters one’s preconceptions about the clinical, sanitized view of the medical profession, showing how its members see life in the raw. We are given a unique glimpse into this engrossing world.
